Welcome class of 2016! If you are interested in joining the Stanford Solar Car Project you have come to the right place. The Stanford Solar Car Project is recruiting new members for our 2012-2013 build cycle. The Stanford Solar Car Project is a multidisciplinary team that designs, builds, and races solar cars to compete in the World Solar Challenge, a 2000 mile race across the Australian Outback. Last year, we built and raced a car named Xenith (ZEE-nith), and now we are designing a brand new car. Now is the best time to join!
