02 Jul Arctan Unveiling

The public is cordially invited to the unveiling of Arctan, the twelfth vehicle of the Stanford Solar Car Project. The event will take place at the Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Facility on Friday, July 10th at 5:30PM.

Arctan is the product of thousands of student volunteer hours of design, construction and testing by a completely student-run, undergraduate team of nearly fifty. The team has built off of the successes of its last cycle and continues to push the boundaries of efficiency, performance, and reliability. This October, Arctan will compete in the 2015 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, a 2000-mile race across the Australian Outback.

Years of technical progress and accumulated expertise at Stanford have made possible the team’s continued improvement. The Stanford Solar Car Project would like to thank team friends, alumni, and donors who have offered advice, materials, resources, and other support.
