We were able to glue our suspension linkages together using an alignment jig WaterJet cut by Big Blue Saw.

The Varian Physics Machine Shop provides a number of services for the entire Stanford campus, including a library of materials and parts suppliers, design help with laboratory and research apparatus and repair of existing equipment, and complete designs, from sketches to final assembly by mechanical means (welding, brazing or soldering). The Varian Physics Machine Shop cut the bearing spacers in our SSCP designed motor.

igus Günter Blase began igus back on 15th October 1964 in a double garage in Cologne. For the first 20 years, the company worked as a supplier of complex technical polymer components. However, in 1983 Frank Blase established reinforced plastic Energy Chain Systems and injection molded polymer bearings as two distinct product groups and set up a network of sales engineers. Igus generously provided bearings for our steering rack, brake pedals, and accelerator pedals.

Swift Metal Finishing  has helped our team for many years. They anodized and alodined some of our aluminum parts, which prevents corrosion. Swift’s quick turnaround time and attention to detail has helped us finish parts in time for assembly and testing. We appreciate their expertise and sponsorship over the years.

Rustworks is a company not only dedicated to the tradition of fine metalwork but to the advancement of design and invention. Rustworks boasts CNC Plasma and WaterJet Cutting, specialty finishing, powder and electrocoating, full welding capabilities M.I.G., T.I.G., SMAW, and  fixture welding/fabrication capabilities. Rustworks WaterJet cut the panels for Luminos’ first battery pack.

Peak very generously offered us a discount on thermoforming the window pieces for Luminos’ canopy, a significant undertaking. The canopy for Luminos was molded as one piece, which made it one of the largest thermoforming projects Peak’s technicians had ever attempted. Thanks to their experience and expertise, Peak was able to produce a flawless canopy in a single piece.

Advanced Laserjet and Waterjet Cutting is a leader in the laser and waterjet cutting industry. Advanced’s focus on quality, speed, and precision resulted in parts that will serve exceptionally on Luminos. With new technology, computer aided design, and the expertise of our laser and waterjet cutting technicians, Advanced cut the pieces for our second battery pack with incredible precision.
